Freshuelva announces an increase of +16% for the cultures of berries (raspberries, blackberries, blueberries) for the 2013-14 season.

For the season 2013-14 the areas dedicated berries grow in the Huelva region.

Freshuelva, the Association of producers and exporters, announces that the cultures of berries (raspberries, blackberries, blueberries) will occupy 2,520 hectares in the province, an increase of +16% compared to the previous season. The superfices of strawberries remain almost stable, recording only +2% with 6980 hectares.

Surfaces of blueberries progressing by +19%, reaching 1,150 hectares; those blackberries increase by +22% passing from 57 to 70 hectares; those raspberries earn +14% with 1 300 hectares in total.
