Chile consolidates itself as a key destination for Peruvian custard apples

Custard apple exports come in different forms: frozen pulp, fresh custard apple, pasteurised pulp and other by-products.
From January to May 2024, Peru exported a total of 118.2 tonnes of cherimoya. According to market analyst Heber Chávez, this fruit reached nine markets, with Chile being the main destination with 78.4% of shipments, followed by the United States with 9%, and other countries accounting for the remaining 12.6%.
