Spectacular increase in exports

Among the agricultural exports of Afghanistan, dried fruits registered an increase of 67%.
Afghanistan has seen a 61% increase in its exports. The Chairman of the Board of Director of Chamber of Commerce and Industries of Afghanistan says that during the first quarter of this year export of the country reached a total of USD 135 million. This increase indicates an improvement of the economy.
The performance may even improve after the season of fruits and nuts. Since the beginning of the year exports of dried fruits showed an increase of 67% to 9050 tons.
The main agricultural exports from Afghanistan are fruit, dried fruit and herbs.
