Interko strengthens expanding South East Asian presence with local support office
Interko – one of the world’s leading fresh fruit ripening system designer, manufacturer and installer – has opened a local support office in Singapore to strengthen its presence as a leading operative in South East Asia.
Headed by Jeffrey Yeoh, Interko’s after-sales representative for Asia, the office forms part of a wider initiative by Interko to further enhance its global customer support this year after consolidating its range of fruit ripening systems during 2018.
“This year, one of our goals is to go the extra mile with our after-sales service for all customers, and Jeffrey will support that objective in South East Asia,” comments Interko’s Managing Director/Partner Chris Maat.
“We know that any problems or questions are always easier and quicker to resolve if someone is close by. Jeffrey speaks Chinese, Cantonese, English and some Malay, and his presence in Asia is already proving very beneficial for Interko. Our local customers are happy, which is essential to our growth strategy for the region.”
South East Asia represents Interko’s largest market in Asia, and last year saw the introduction of the firm’s latest fruit ripening room; a sophisticated, turn-key solution called Optimo. “Interko is expanding throughout South East Asia; we are looking to cement our position from Singapore to China and everywhere in between,” Maat explains.
Interko will exhibit at Asia Fruit Logistica 2019 (Hall 5, V20) in Hong Kong on 4-6 September. The team will promote its complete spectrum of state-of-the-art fruit ripening room systems; Ultimo, Axesso and Optimo, which enable any small or large retailer, importer, distributor, wholesaler or trader to ripen any fruit to perfection, both efficiently and economically.
