The company is proud to be the spokesperson for Mexican mango exporters in international markets since it began its journey in 1991.
The European market is one of the traditional markets for Mexican mango, therefore, EMEX AC is present at the Fruit Logistica fair in Berlin with the aim of growing the presence of Mexican mango on supermarket shelves, seeking new commercial opportunities not only for the most recognized varieties such as Kent, Keitt and Tommy, but also promoting the Ataulfo variety — available from February to July, which is increasingly being accepted by consumers due to its exquisite sweetness and absence of fiber.
“Among the challenges we are facing is the lack of labor, the variation in the exchange rate, increases in the cost of logistics and agricultural inputs, without leaving aside the process of climate change that directly impacts productivity. The start of the 2024 season in the south of the country is marked by delayed production and uneven flowering, however it is expected to have sufficient volumes to meet the requirements of customers in both the United States, Canada, Europe and Asia and South America. The season will last approximately 3 months in each state on the coast of the Mexican Republic from Chiapas and Oaxaca to the north of Sinaloa, starting in February and ending in September. We hope to have a good year in productive and commercial terms,” comments Myrna Castro, General Manager of EMEX AC.
