Berries and their health benefits at the heart of debates at the Symposium FRESH & LIFE.

FRESH & LIFE Symposium to be held Tuesday, October 14 will focus on berries and one of the main topics will be their properties and health benefits.

FRESH & LIFE will begin at 17:00 in the South Auditorium ( Auditorio Su) with the inauguration by Isabel García Tejerina , Minister of Agriculture, Food and Environment.

A presentation will review the sector worldwide and scientists will talk about the latest research on the properties of berries and small fruits and their effects on health. Including their anti- inflammatory and antioxidant activities and their influence on cardiovascular disease , diabetes , and finally their neuroprotective function (Alzheimer / Parkinson) and their anti- cancer properties.

Interventions on crop improvement and promotion of consumption will complete the program of this first day of the Symposium.

The next day, the morning will begin with the interventions of Spanish professionals analyzing outlets, and distributors will discuss growth prospects and opportunities. End of Symposium scheduled around 12:00 .
