The demand for Peruvian superfoods grows in 2021.

In 2021, the global consumption of Peruvian superfoods will increase, due to higher consumer demand for healthy foods, says Carlos Posada, executive director of the Institute for Research and Development of Foreign Trade of the Lima Chamber of Commerce (Idexcam).
The health crisis caused by the pandemic has caused changes in the eating habits of consumers, who now show greater concern about the origin, quality and benefits of the products.
Blueberries will lead the ranking, with shipments estimated at 1,229 million dollars (+21.7 percent), followed by grapes with 1,102 million dollars (+4.3 percent) and avocados, with 831 million dollars (9.5 percent) .
Mango exports are also forecast to exceed 306 million dollars, which means an increase of 5.4 percent compared to 2020; mandarin exports forecast a 46 million dollars increase (+3.2 percent); ginger
