High prices for sweet cherries have been registered in Poland

During last week Poland has imported sweet cherries from Turkey and South European countries. The prices for the fruits brought from other countries have appeared to be exorbitant. Cherries are sold in 3 kinds of containers depending on the amount: 2 4 5 kg, the cost of 1 kg is around 6 – 12 EURO kg gross. The price depends on size and producer (country) of the products. The highest prices have been registered for sweet cherries brought from Spain, and the lowest ones for cherries delivered from Hungary. 26+ size sweet cherries are available at the price of 5,3 – 7 EURO / kg, 30+ - 32+ size sweet cherries could be bought at the price of 12 EURO kg.
