Pears stocks in Netherlands are almost empty despite ban for fruits exporting to Russia

According to the latest data, in spite of ban for pears exporting from Netherlands to Russian fruits market, stock of local pears is almost wasted. The amount of pears stored in warehouses of Dutch farmers is 5% lower comparing to the previous year number. Based on the WAPA data, approximately 129 000 tons of pears were kept in local storages. It stands to mention that Russia was considered to be number 1 trade market for Dutch pears exporting. Consequently after Russian embargo, local farmers were forced to look for new sales markets.
