Total Produce in the race for Agrexco purchase

Total Produce is about to make a bid for Agrexco. According to Israeli newspaper Globes, ten companies have taken the first steps to make an offer for Agrexco. Among them, an American investment fund, various consortiums and Total Produce.

Based in Ireland, Total Produce operates in several countries such as the United Kingdom, Spain, Sweden and the Czech Republic. Total Produce sees possible synergies with its current activities in 19 countries.

Agrexco, with a debt of around 106 million euros, has obtained a court suspension with the court saying that the sale would be considered quickly because producers need new contracts for the upcoming season.
