Calinda strawberry season kicks off in December

Important to highlight, that according to the research of Andalusian Institute of Agricultural and Fisheries Research and Training (IFAPA), Calinda, compared to other Huelva varieties, contains the highest content of vitamin C and antioxidants.
The first supply of Calinda strawberries arrived at the packing station in Huelva this week. The Calinda variety, famed for a balanced mix of great flavor, nice shape and long shelf life, is attracting more and more growers in the region. This season, Calinda is ranked the fourth largest variety in the total strawberry crop.
Special Fruit, the launching partner of Calinda, plans to officially start its 7th season at the end of December, with an estimated total volume of 5 million kilos of strawberries.
