The value of Spanish horticultural exports between January and October 2023 has experienced a year-on-year growth of 6% compared to the same period in 2022, reaching a total of 13.47 billion euros, according to data provided by the Spanish Federation of Associations of Producers and Exporters of Fruits, Vegetables, Flowers, and Live Plants.
This surge can be attributed to the high performance in key European markets: Germany, France, and the Netherlands.

Following the top three EU member states mentioned, Italy and Portugal emerge as the fourth and fifth most significant markets for the Spanish sector. Despite having lower overall values, both countries have shown positive trends, with Italy witnessing a 5% growth, totaling 728 million euros, and Portugal registering a 32% increase, reaching 617 million euros.
