Tesco launches strawberry sandwich

To mark the beginning of summer and of the start of the Wimbledon tennis tournament, Tesco is launching a new sandwich - strawberry!

The sandwich is based on connections with Wimbledon, where strawberries are the favourite treat of spectators. The new sandwich contains thick cream, a spoonful of strawberry jam and sliced ??strawberries. Tesco says that the cream comes from Cornwall and strawberries from Staffordshire.

The sandwich contains 435 calories and will be sold for £1 (€ 1.13) in 750 Tesco stores.
