Peruvian strawberry exports significantly increased

Strawberry exports from Peru in the first 4 months of 2021 reached 7.198.686 kilos, for a FOB value of $14.283.166. For comparison, in the same period of 2020 there were exported 3.200.591 kilos for $6.037.374, according to Agrodata.

The product was mainly supplied to the United States, with placements for $7.298.302 (51% of total shipments), followed by Canada with $3.544.886, South Korea with $1.382.325, Japan with $1.325.681, Puerto Rico with $277.243, Panama with $197.735, the Dominican Republic with $49.463, and other destinations with lower amounts than totaled $207,532.
