Agricultural research program with the EU support

New agricultural research program set up in Morocco with the support of the EU.

The convention of funding for 23 projects in agricultural research have been recently signed, between five universities and two research institutes and the Mediterranean Network of agricultural research from the European Union.

The budget allowed is of 71.06 million DH (€ 6.4 million) of which 10 million DH are provided by Morocco. Research will focus on the cultivation of potatoes and citrus, fight against pests, olive oil production, breeding and water saving irrigation.
