Time is running out for negotiations between the EU and the UK

There are a few days left for the European and British negotiators to reach an agreement. Until mid-November, the last deadline for this agreement to be legally transcribed and adopted by the European Parliament before January 1, when the United Kingdom will leave the European Union.
The Brexit referendum took place over 4 years ago, discussions to define the future relationship between the UK and the European Union started over 9 months ago. Without any agreement so far. But in recent days, the discussions have been deemed intense and constructive. The next few days will be decisive.
If the negotiators reach an agreement, it will have to be concluded before mid-November. Taking into account the time needed for the possible agreement to be legally transcribed and adopted by the European Parliament before 1 January, when the United Kingdom will leave the European Union.
Recently the UK has concluded trade agreements with several countries outside the EU. With Ukraine, the agreement provides better access to the UK market for Ukrainian products and increased volumes. With Côte d'Ivoire, maintenance of existing trade agreements, without barriers or additional customs duties. The British market represents 6% of total banana exports from Côte d'Ivoire. With Japan, a free trade agreement was signed in October. For 2021, a free trade agreement should be concluded with Vietnam.
