A 45% decrease in the production of Abate Fetel pears: fruits are smaller but good quality.
Summer drought has resulted in a significant decrease in the production of Abate Fetel pears.
CSO (Centri servizi ortofrutticoli) estimates that the production of the pears dropped by 45% compared to 2011, a record year. The production will be very close to that of 2010, one of the worst
years of the last decade. This decline in production is almost essentially forthe Emilia-Romagna region.
