Federico Milanese, Jingold’s marketing manager, highlights the impact of their targeted marketing strategies.
Mr. Milanese comments that the brand’s global recognition and customer loyalty have strengthened due to their strong marketing campaigns. These include engaging directly with consumers and running promotions at large retail and specialty markets not just in Italy and Europe, but globally, aiming to support sales across the entire distribution chain.
Amid the ongoing geopolitical tensions in the Red Sea impacting exports, along with challenges caused by adverse weather during the winter of 2022 and spring of 2023, and inflation diminishing consumer spending power, Jingold has reported a successful season in the northern hemisphere. The Italian kiwi company, renowned for its high-quality kiwis, continues to expand its footprint across European and international markets.
This season, Jingold managed to market 30,000 tons of kiwis. Moreno Armuzzi, the sales manager, remarked that in a year that posed numerous challenges, Jingold not only upheld its global market presence but also reported a stable revenue. The sales of their yellow-flesh kiwis remained robust, similar to last year's figures. Notably, their Exotic Red kiwis saw sales more than double compared to the previous season. The green-flesh varieties, Hayward and Boerica, also performed well. According to Mr. Armuzzi, the pricing for all kiwi categories this season turned out to be quite favorable.
External factors such as disruptions in the Suez Canal influenced Jingold's decision to shift its focus away from Asian markets towards Europe, which has shown a great appreciation for our premium quality fruits, according to Armuzzi.

Launching the southern hemisphere season
Jingold has recently kicked off the marketing of its products from the southern hemisphere, where it has been active for over two decades. The company's operations stretch across Chile, Argentina, and South Africa, regions where Jingold is implementing numerous developmental projects aimed at significantly increasing kiwi volumes. Jingold’s offerings from the southern hemisphere, including the staple yellow-flesh and the newer red-flesh kiwis, continue to uphold the brand's commitment to innovation and quality, regardless of their origin.
