Biostimulant producer looking for distributors worldwide
VU | Holland Farming BV
CROPMAX by Holland Farming Italia is a versatile biostimulant designed to enhance the vitality and productivity of various crops. Its formula is a potent blend of essential trace elements, amino acids, vitamins, and saccharides, providing comprehensive nutritional support to plants. To apply, CROPMAX should be diluted with water and sprayed directly onto crops. The specific dilution rate depends on the capacity of the spraying equipment, ensuring that the mixture is appropriately concentrated for the area being treated. Typically, for a backpack sprayer, a dilution of 10-15 ml of CROPMAX per 15-20 liters of water is recommended.
CROPMAX is compatible for use with a range of plant protection products including insecticides, pesticides, and fungicides, making it a flexible addition to agricultural care routines. The active ingredients in CROPMAX are designed to be absorbed through the leaf pores; therefore, it is crucial to apply it during cooler parts of the day, such as in the evenings, to prevent the closure of pores that typically occurs in hot conditions. This timing ensures optimal absorption and effectiveness of the biostimulant, helping to improve overall plant health and yield.
In our conversation today, along with Hans Ten Zweege, Holland Farming Italia Managing Director, we explore the ongoing development, application strategies, and the future potential of CROPMAX in enhancing crop yields and sustainability in farming practices.
Fructidor: So, what's new about CropMax? What's happening currently?
Hans Ten Zweege: We are gradually expanding into new markets, registering in countries where we haven't been active before.
Fructidor: Can you mention which countries you are moving into?
Hans Ten Zweege: The registration process can be lengthy, and sometimes it doesn't go through. But right now, we're quite busy in Brazil. However, in Brazil, we operate under a different name because we also sell in Colombia, where the name 'CropMax' is prohibited by law—they say it implies being the best, which isn’t allowed. We're using the name 'GrowStar' there.
Fructidor: And how is the expansion going in other parts of the world?
Hans Ten Zweege: It's going well. We recently acquired a new customer in Turkey, so that's promising. Currently, we are in approximately 36 countries with just one product, which is quite typical. We need to fit into someone's portfolio, and our distributors are usually companies that deal with seeds, fertilizers, and pesticides.
Fructidor: Are you looking for distributors in other countries? Are you open to new markets?
Hans Ten Zweege
Fructidor: Are you registered to supply all over Europe?
Hans Ten Zweege: Yes, we also have organic certification, so although only a small percentage of our customers are organic farmers, we can supply to them as well. This certification is valid in the United States, Japan, and the EU.
Fructidor: Do you have distributors in the US or Japan?
Hans Ten Zweege: We have a distributor in the US. The connection is important because Latin American farmers, a significant number of our clientele, often sell organically to the US, necessitating organic certification of our products.
Fructidor: How would you describe the unique selling points of your company?
Hans Ten Zweege: We specialize in biostimulants. Unlike other companies where this might be a sideline, it's our main focus. We are flexible, provide fresh products quickly, and fast delivery is a cornerstone of our service. Plus, having organic certification significantly enhances our appeal.
Fructidor: What are your plans for upcoming shows or events?
Hans Ten Zweege: Our next significant event is in Romania after the summer, and then there’s a show in Medellin, Colombia, at the beginning of December, preparing us for the next season.
