Europe is the No. 1 destination for Chilean kiwis

Chile has already exported 42,151 tonnes of kiwi fruit and Europe is the No. 1 destination with 44% growth this year compared to the same period last year.
According to the latest report from the Comité del Kiwi de Chile, exports reached 42,151 tonnes in weeks 17-18 of 2020. This figure is 14% lower than that of the same period last season.
In terms of destinations, Europe leads with 15,390 tonnes. Or an increase of 44% compared to the same period in 2019.
After Europe follow the Far East with 9,378 tonnes, Latin America with 7,368 tonnes and North America with 5,369 tonnes. Then Russia with 2,436 tonnes and the Middle East with 2,182 tonnes.
