Wholesale prices for pears from Belgium goes down in Russia

According to the latest data, wholesale prices for pears delivered from Belgium have started to decrease within fruit market of Russia during current week. This kind of fruits is available at around 0,7 – 1,8 EUROkg (depends on pears size and quality) at the moment. The above mentioned numbers are 26% less comparing to January 2014 figures. Due to market research data, Belgium comes second after Netherlands among most important countries-suppliers of pears to Russian fruit market. Official statistics proves that Russia has imported more than 50 000 tons of pears during 2013-2014 period, amount of fruits delivered from Belgium comprises around 19%.
