December was better than expected for Rungis with an increase in attendance for the year 2012.
Despite the crisis and the poor weather, Rungis recorded an increase in the number of clients.
In Le Figaro, David Bourganel, marketing and communications director of Rungis International Market states that attendance at the market is up 2%. For the year 2012 the Rungis market recorded 1.3 million visits.
The holiday season has been very satisfactory. December started weakly but many customers were back for the holidays. Lychees from Reunion or Mauritius, clementines from Corsica or Spain and pineapples from the Reunion performed well with volumes up 20 to 40%.
