Univeg opens new distribution centre

This center, which can deliver to whole of Germany in 24 hours, is located in Duisburg, North Rhine-Westphalia. It required an investment of 5 million and includes banana ripening rooms, conditioning units for kiwis, melons, avocados, mangoes, stone fruit, apples, strawberries and salads.

The city of Duisburg, situated at the confluence of the Rhine and Ruhr, is the largest inland port in the world. Its proximity to major ports of Rotterdam and Antwep allows it to record an annual traffic of 40 million tons of cargo.
