Healthy Food Area to headline innovation focus at Macfrut 2026
A three-day agenda focused on products and sector discussions.
Macfrut 2026 will significantly expand its Healthy Food Area, tripling operator participation to deliver a full 360-degree showcase of the healthy products segment.
Located in Hall D3 at the Rimini Expo Centre, the green-branded space will be structured around three pillars: Healthy Food, Spices & Herbs, and Organic Produce.
The Healthy Food section will feature minimally processed fruit and vegetable products, from fresh-cut to ready-to-eat ranges, alongside processing technologies supporting high-nutritional plant-based foods. Organic Produce will focus on certified fresh products positioned at the intersection of quality, innovation and sustainability.
Workshops and technical programme
A three-day workshop cycle, with simultaneous English translation, will run on the central stage:
21 April — Agroecological supply chains and organic innovation, bringing together companies, researchers and sector specialists.
22 April — Processing innovation across aromatic and medicinal plants for food use.
23 April — “Fourth Range 4.0”, examining technology, quality and sustainability in ready-to-eat produce, with emphasis on preserving nutritional value.
The Healthy Food Area is promoted by Macfrut in collaboration with the University of Bologna (DISTAL), FIPPO and Erboristeria Domani, reinforcing the fair’s focus on innovation across the horticultural value chain.
