Poland offers the lowest EU prices for food

The food prices in Poland reached 39% compared to the recorded average in the EU.
The lowest prices for food products of all the EU are in Poland.
According to Eurostat, the statistical office of the EU, the prices of food and beverages in Poland in 2012 were cheaper than 39% compared to the EU average. Only bread and cereals are lower in Bulgaria, for all other categories studied (meat, fish, dairy products, oils and fats, fruits and vegetables) Poland offers the lowest prices throughout the EU.
On the contrary, Denmark is the country where food prices are the highest, reaching 43% compared to the EU average.
