The biggest container ships in the world is Chinese
Out of South Korean shipyards "Hyundai Heavy Industries " was baptized on November 18 " CSCL Globe".
It is now the largest container ships in the world, belonging to the company CSCL ( China Shipping Container Line), it has a capacity of 19,100 TEU ( twenty-foot equivalent EVP- - standard size container ) . It measures 400 meters (1,312 feet) long, 59 meters (194 feet ) wide and 31 meters (101 feet ) high.
It will be deployed on the Asia-Europe line. It is the first of a series of 5 " sisterships " controlled by CsCl company . Future twins will be: CSCL Pacific Ocean , expected next month . Then, scheduled for the first quarter 2015: CSCL Atlantic Ocean , Indian Ocean and CSCL CSCL Arctic Ocean.
