New performance for Zimbabwe exports

The upward trajectory continues for Zimbabwe's fruit and vegetable exports, which have recorded new performances in terms of both volume (+9.78%) and value (+76.95%).

 

Local media report that ZimStats, Zimbabwe's National Statistics Agency, has announced that fruit and vegetable exports in 2023 reached 11,254,498 kilos (+9.78% on the 10,252,066 kilos exported in 2022) for an estimated value of USD 4,257,285 (+76.95% on the USD 2,405,885 in 2022).

 

HDC (Horticultural Development Council) emphasised that this performance demonstrates the strong growth potential of the horticulture sector. HDC supports the national objective of developing the sector into an industry that will reach USD 1 billion by 2030.
