SOMIC America featured its new secondary packaging machine
SOMIC America, one of the leading manufacturers of end-of-line packaging machine technology, debuted a new 424 series machine at the virtual event PACK Expo Connects, November 11-13.
Peter Fox, company’s Senior Vice President of Sales, shared that presenting the new machine to the audience of the event was far from ideal given the circumstances, but the company did the next best thing via audience computers and smartphones.
The company presented its seven-minute video at the PACK Expo and received much positive feedback about it. The virtual video detailed how the SOMIC 424 series serves as a starting point for all of the company's customized, high-performance packaging solutions, most of which are configured to run flow packs, stand-up pouches and other flexible material packages.

According to Fox, a new machine demonstrates the flexibility which company has, to create a unique secondary packing system for any type of package. As shown in the video, this machine allows end-users to package a variety of products in two-piece display trays with covers and standard wraparound cases. "Designing a machine that packages pre-bundled rigid bottles with flip top closures, finger pumps and trigger sprays represents a new element for us in North America, one that we are truly excited about," he added.
