China will invest USD 20 billion in India

New partnership between the two Asian giants, announced during th visit of the Chinese President Xi Jinping to the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi last week .

China pledges to increase the amount of its investment in Indian industry and infrastructure projects to USD 20 billion within 5 years.

These investments will focus on the creation of two industrial parks  (energy, automotive components ) and the modernization of stations and rail lines for high-speed trains . China will improve access to its markets to Indian goods , including food products.

The two countries also agreed to facilitate investment and the operations of their businesses on both markets.
