Local media report that the agreement between Morocco and Brazil was signed at the SIAM (Salon international de l'agriculture au Maroc) in Meknes. The agreement details the conditions and phytosanitary requirements to be met by Morocco when exporting citrus fruit to Brazil.
This agreement is the result of a long process initiated in 2018. The fruitful collaboration and sustained efforts between the 2 states could be strengthened in the future by cooperation in the fields of mechanization, best practices and technologies.
In Morocco, citrus production takes place outside Brazil's production periods, which is an important opportunity to increase Moroccan citrus exports to this country.
