Peruvian strawberry exports exceed $28 million up to August

Between January and August this year, Peru exported 17,601,628 kilograms of strawberries, with an FOB value of $28,869,583. These numbers show a moderate growth compared to the same period in 2022, when 11,786,108 kilograms of the fruit were exported for a value of $22,626,780.

 

According to a report by Agrodata Peru, the United States is positioned as the main destination for these exports in 2023. In this market, Peru has achieved sales of US$ 10,624,794, which represents 37% of total strawberry exports. Following in importance are other destinations, such as Canada, with US$ 7,977,365, Guatemala with US$ 5,491,269, South Korea with US$ 1,703,170, Mexico with US$ 1,044,527, Puerto Rico with US$ 484,815, Panama with US$ 343,501 and other markets with smaller amounts that together total US$ 494,252.
