Peruvian fresh blueberry exports jump 65% through July

Higher volumes and stronger prices lifted export earnings to $620.2 million.
Peru exported $620.24 million of fresh blueberries between January and July 2026, up 64.73% from the same period last year, according to PROMPERÚ data based on Sunat records. Export volume reached 84,736.6 tonnes, an increase of 45.1%.
The faster rise in value was supported by higher prices. The average reference export price reached $7.32/kg, 13.53% above the comparable 2025 level.
US drives the increase
The US remained Peru’s leading blueberry market, buying $347.6m worth during the seven-month period. That represented 56.04% of total export value and a year-on-year increase of 79.18%.
The Netherlands ranked second at $104.86m, up 78.73%, while China received $36.05m, down 21.68%. The UK followed with $32.22m, an increase of 75.93%.
La Libertad remained the main exporting region, accounting for 54.82% of national blueberry export value, followed by Lambayeque and Ica.
