A clinical study conducted within the refrigerated confines of a large organic produce warehouse in the Netherlands underscores the high effectiveness of Airocide. Focused on reducing airborne mold, the study compared Airocide-utilized areas to those without the technology. The results were remarkable, with Airocide GCS-50 systems achieving a 96.8% reduction in airborne fungi within 72 hours. Even after turning off the units, a subsequent 48-hour period witnessed an 89.5% increase in airborne mold, emphasizing the sustained impact of Airocide.
The cutting-edge photocatalytic air purifiers by Airocide PPT (Perishables Preservation Technology) that feature NASA-developed technology are renowned for their applications in the food safety industry and perishable goods storage.
Airocide’s technology is engineered to kill, remove, and eliminate airborne microorganisms, including bacteria, mold, fungi, viruses, dust mites, allergens, odors, and harmful volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Recognized by the FDA as a Class II Medical Device, Airocide stands at the forefront of medical healthcare solutions, ensuring a clean and safe environment.

The study, conducted over five consecutive days, involved meticulous air sampling inside the organic produce cooler. A baseline reading, an "active off" phase with no Airocide operation, and an "active on" phase were compared to gauge the technology's effectiveness. With airtight doors maintaining a consistent temperature of 4 ºC in the cooler, the test conditions simulated real-world scenarios, including storing clean and contaminated citrus produce.
