Spread of banana disease endangers world fruit market and could cause price rise in Russia

According to the latest data, spread of banana bacteria almost in all the countries producing banana, has not caused prices rise yet, but lack of this kind of fruits has been already registered within fruit markets of different countries. Russia purchases 90% of bananas in Ecuador, while banana disease threatens fruits growing in Africa and countries of South-Eastern Asia. Nevertheless prices for banana have gone up to 25% comparing to the previous year figures. At the current moment, average price for this kind fruits comprises 60 RUkg.
