In Belgium, farmers feared frost, but hail accompanied by strong winds caused damage.
According to local media, the insurer BFAO (Bos Fruit Aardappelen Onderlingeverzekeringen) received numerous reports of damage. The insurer claims to have received over 200 reports of damage, whereas the normal number for a normal year is between 50 and 100 reports.
