The local media have reported information from the Department of Horticulture showing that fruit and vegetable production in Senegal in 2023 reached 1,600,000 tonnes. This represents an increase of 76.8% compared to 2012 (905,000 tonnes).

Exports of fruit and vegetables in 2023 reached 120,000 tonnes, an increase of +114.28% compared to 2012 (56,000 tonnes).
