If the exchange rate relative to other currencies is not improving exports may decrease causing a tidal wave of products that will then depress prices further.

Concern in the citrus industry at the threshold of this year, already deemed difficult.

 

Producers and exporters believe that if the exchange rate does not improve exports are threatened. Prices quoted do not cover the cost and exporters may not be able to export.

 

This year the production of citrus ( tangerines, oranges ) is provided on the rise. The scenario would be essential to avoid a fall in exports , which would increase the amount of available fruit and then by flooding the market would cause a fall in prices.
