Mexican avocado production in 2023 reached 2.7 million tons, an increase of 4.3% from 2022. Above all, from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, they expect a further 5% growth in 2024.
Since 2013, avocado production has grown by a staggering 80.7%, making Mexico the undisputed king of this fruit.
Mexican avocado exports reached 1.4 million tons in 2023, an impressive 17% increase compared to the previous year.
The United States is the main destination, with 81% of the total volume shipped and a value of $2.7 billion in 2023!
