Innovation in packaging and new marketing approach for SWEET ONION CEVENNES.
Practical, aesthetic and original, the new packaging launched by the Cooperative ORIGINE CEVENNES.
A cardboard tray of 3 or 6 onions, protected by a flow pack film. This type of presentation is completely new for onions. In approaching a logical fruit, the goal is to go upmarket to assert a highly qualitative position and gain visibility into the refrigerated section. The cardboard packaging also contains information on small-scale production and easy recipes (soup, pie, stuffed onions ...).
The trays of 3 or 6 Sweet Onions Cevennes are available since early September, and for the 2016-17 marketing season.
The harvest that just ended confirms higher volumes (2400 tonnes), and exceptional quality for considering spreading sales until the end of March 2017.
