Chile consolidates its position as the largest buyer of Peruvian squash

During 2023, Peruvian pumpkin exports totalled 11,698.1 tonnes, distributed in seven different markets. This represented a slight drop of -1.3% compared to the previous year, according to data provided by market analyst Heber Chávez.

 

Chile stood out as the main buyer of Peruvian pumpkin last year, with a 99.7% share, while other destinations accounted for only 0.3%.

 

Peruvian pumpkin is exported mainly in its fresh form, as well as in seeds and other presentations.
