United States remains the main importer of Peruvian onions

The primary recipients of Peruvian onions until October 2023 were the United States (65% of total value), Spain (19%), and Colombia (11%), among others.
Between January and October 2023, Peruvian onion exports showed a decrease in volume but an increase in value, when compared to the same term in 2022, according to Agrodata Perú.
During the initial 10 months of the ongoing year, the country exported 186.648.998 kilos of the veg, worth $75.266.987.
In the same lapse of 2022, Peru shipped 214.927.133 kilos of onions, for a total value of $74.860.285.
