Increase in production and exports of oranges

In Australia the orange production increases and leads to an increase in exports.
According to the USDA report, the growth conditions for the 2013/14 season were good, the quality of fruits is high. The orange production is estimated at 230 000 tons, an increase of nearly +13% compared to 2012/13 (205,000 tons).
The season 2013/14 started with a strong demand for Australian oranges, it is expected that exports will exceed total exports 2012/13 (133 000 tons). The country imported 18,000 tons of fresh oranges, nearly 90% from the United States.
