Peru agricultural exports edge higher in early 2026, led by grapes, blueberries and mangoes

Peru’s agricultural exports reach $1.177 billion in January 2026.
Agricultural exports from Peru reached USD 1.177 billion in January 2026, up 7.7% year on year, according to the Central Reserve Bank of Peru (BCRP).
Several key fresh produce categories recorded growth at the start of the year. Grape exports rose to USD 493 million, an increase of 21.2% compared with January 2025. Blueberries reached USD 159 million, up 25.8%, while mango exports climbed to USD 112 million, marking a 27.6% increase.
Avocados also expanded, with export value rising to USD 19 million, up 54.6% year on year, although from a relatively small January base.
Meanwhile, organic bananas showed modest growth, reaching USD 11 million, up 7.5%, and ginger exports increased slightly to USD 7 million, an 8.6% rise.
Not all segments moved upward. Fresh asparagus shipments declined to USD 35 million, a decrease of 11.8%.
