The Port of Antwerp recorded a very satisfactory H1 2015

 The port of Antwerp handled during the first 6 months of this year, 104,529,242 tonnes of freight , an increase of + 6.4% compared to the same period last year.

This performance is attributable to the growth of cargo container (+ 9.5% in TEUs and 7.4% in tonnage ) and bulk liquid (+ 7.4%).

The volume, number of manipulated standard boxes (TEU / twenty- foot equivalent units , 20 feet equivalent units ) increased by 9.5% reaching 4,836,243 TEUs.

In tonnes , this volume reached 57,501,825 tons (+ 7.4%).
