Paraguayan pineapples expected to enter Brazil market

Brazil could become a new market for small Paraguayan pineapple producers, reports Ángel Méndez, representative of the commercial sector in the department of Concepción (Paraguay).

 

A test shipment of pineapples will take place next week, along with other Paraguayan fruits.

 

Thanks to the collaboration between Senator Edgar López and the Municipal Board of Concepción, a space was opened in the Ceasa Market in Campo Grande. This space will allow Concepción and other departments to market their family farming products. Méndez expressed his optimism by stating that, if prices are competitive and quality meets adequate standards, a relevant market will open for family farming.
