Good start to the season for strawberries from Huelva

Huelva strawberry which is exported to European markets recorded higher price levels from 20% to those seen last year.
The 2014-2015 season started with a price level that makes the sector more optimistic.
No climatic incident reported. The 1st varieties harvested ( "Sabrina ", " Fortuna ", " Splendor " ) produce many colorful fruits and of good quality.
Prices exceed by more than 20 % higher than the previous season. Thus, according to the latest report released by the Observatory of Prices and Markets , the average price for the first week of January was between 2.30 and 2.40 euro / kg , significantly above 1,87euro / kg found last year.
These price levels are close to the price of the 2012/13 season , which makes the sector much more optimistic.
