Australia has found new outlets for its citrus fruit.
Japan became its first export market in 2010 and the United States fell to third place behind Hong Kong.
According to Citrus Australia, volumes totaled 18,000 tons during the peak season (July-September), an increase of 15,500 tons over the same period last year.
The industry is trying to improve its access to the Korean market and should get a new protocol within 2 or 3 years.
