The Turkish export of table grapes started from May 20, 2013

The president of the Union of Taris Grapes, Mr. Ali Riza Türker declared that the mild winter has advanced the harvest, but that it has been affected by hail last week. A decrease in the harvest of about 30 percent is expected and prices should rise.

However, he warned producers and exporters that if the price increase was too high, importers could turn to cheaper sources, such as Iran.
