Garance, a new apple variety for organic farming
To expand the range of varieties of organic apple and produce more easily, a new variety is offered to arborists, mainly in the south of France.
GRAB (Group of Research in Biologic Agriculture), in partnership with INRA, Invenio and Novadi evaluated for several years a group of untreated fruit varieties in order to select good candidates for organic farming. Ten years later, here's the Garance variety, obtained by INRA of Bordeaux and Angers startinng from "Idared x Prima x Pitchounette ".
Orders must be placed at GRAB before February 25, 2014 for a good quality of grafting.
