Chile feels a decrease in its fruits exports

A net decrease of Chilean fresh fruit exports have been registered in the first seven months of 2014 compared to the same period in 2013.
According to the data of "Boletin Fructicola" the overall decline reached -13,7% comparent to 2013. The biggest decreases were plums (-60,9%), nectarines (-58,1%), kiwi (-47,9%), peachs (-41,6%), table grapes (-15,3%), pears (-17,1%), mandarins (-12,6%) and blueberries (-11,6%).
This decline was the consequences of freeze in September last year, and caused a significant decline in production and therefore in exports.
